Where Museums Are Listed Closed or Limited

As read on 2026-10-23, the Campo Railroad Museum is closed November 2 to 26, the San Pasqual Battlefield visitor center is closed for renovation, and the Vista Historical Society’s own site lists its museum as temporarily closed. These are current notices, not permanent. Check each official page before you go.

Events in Museums

25 confirmed dates are on the Museums events page, from the organizers’ own pages.

What We Could Not Verify

  • Map points were confirmed only for Museum of Us; the other pages show no map.
  • The San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum has no page here: its old web address now shows spam content and its hours and admission were seen only on a visitor-guide site. Not confirmed; the museum can confirm.
  • Hours, prices and exhibitions can change; where a page marks an item not confirmed, treat it as unconfirmed until the museum confirms.
  • The Vista Historical Society and Museum is not given its own page because its site lists the museum as temporarily closed with no reopening date; its Holiday Fest (December 13) is on the events page.

FAQ

Which museums here are free?

The Chula Vista Museum and History Center lists free admission. Museum of Us is free on the fourth Tuesday of each month (not December) for San Diego residents and active military and dependents.

Are these museums good for kids?

It depends. Birch Aquarium is listed as all ages. Most official pages do not state an age guide, so each page says “not stated” where that is the case.

Which museum is closed on Wednesdays?

The Comic-Con Museum.
