Font’s Point is an overlook above the Borrego Badlands, nicknamed “California’s Grand Canyon” by a partner organization. The state park website has no page for it, so hours, road condition, vehicle needs and restrooms are not confirmed. The park advises that dirt roads often need AWD or 4×4. Check the road page first.Checked October 23, 2026.
Before You Go
Use the park’s road-conditions page and call the Visitor Center at 760-767-4205. The park’s road page we read was dated February 5, 2026, so do not treat its closure list as current. See also stargazing in the park.
