Part of Coronado & South Bay, our guide to Coronado, the South Bay and the bayfront.
Harbor Park, formerly Bayside Park, is on the Chula Vista bayfront at 999 Bayside Parkway. The Port of San Diego lists it open from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a sand beach, play equipment, bike paths, a fishing pier and free lot parking. A new nautical-themed playground is open.Checked October 23, 2026.
Construction
The Port says the park is being rebuilt in phases. A family-friendly splash pad is set to open near the new playground in spring 2027, and the park will grow from 12 to about 25 acres. While the new entrance is built, visitors are told to enter via H Street to G Street, with detour signs posted.
What We Could Not Verify
- Fishing rules or license requirements for the pier were not on the page read.
- Pier hours separate from park hours, and map coordinates, were not confirmed.
- The Port also names a Chula Vista Marina, Bayfront Park and Marina View Park; we did not read separate pages for them.
