County Parks Nightly Fees
The County Parks fee table, read 2026-10-23, sets nightly camping prices by site type rather than by park: Full Hookup $42, Partial Hook-up $39, Non-Hookup $36 and Tent Only $33. The table lists seven parks with RV hookups.
- Full hookup ($42): Lake Morena, Agua Caliente, Guajome and Sweetwater Summit.
- Partial hookup ($39): Lake Morena, Potrero, Dos Picos, Agua Caliente, Sweetwater Summit and William Heise.
Confirmed by hand on 2026-10-23: the County Parks fee page is headed “January 2026 Fees” and says the fees are effective Jan. 2, 2026. The nightly rates quoted here are from its “Current Fee” column. Fees can change, so check the page when you book.
State Parks And Private Rates
Anza-Borrego: Borrego Palm Canyon lists full-hookup RV sites at $45 per night ($43 senior, $22.50 disabled discount). Camping fees include entry for one vehicle and one legally towed vehicle or trailer.
State beach campgrounds: San Elijo and South Carlsbad list RV or trailer sites with hookups, but the nightly fee is on ReserveCalifornia, which we did not read. Fee: see the official site.
Santee Lakes: 2026 rates run $62 to $111 by site type. See Santee Lakes.
Campland on the Bay: summer 2026 full-hookup tiers run from $115 to $593, with water-and-electric “Limited” sites at $92 to $123, plus 12.75% Transient Occupancy Tax. See Campland on the Bay. These figures were read on Campland’s own rates page on 2026-10-23; Campland says rates can change without notice.
Booking Windows

- Santee Lakes: up to six months in advance.
- Campland on the Bay: up to two years in advance.
- San Elijo and South Carlsbad: window not stated on the State Parks pages we read.
- Lake Jennings and Lake Cuyamaca: no advance window stated.
Places We Left Out
Several places are not in this guide because the page we read does not list hookups.
- Cuyamaca Rancho State Park: the State Parks page says “There are no hookups”; it lists a dump station only.
- Silver Strand State Beach: the current State Parks page lists tent camping and an RV dump station and says campers “must be in fully self-contained vehicles”. A search result quoted a 2013 State Parks release saying hookups were added; we did not read that release. The two sources disagree, and the current official page is the one used here.
- Military family camps: no base page confirmed they are open to the public, so none are listed.
- Pio Pico (Thousand Trails), Lake Henshaw, Butterfield Ranch and other private resorts: the operator page could not be read.
What We Could Not Verify
- Read by hand 2026-10-23: the County Parks fee page (headed “January 2026 Fees”) says fees are effective Jan. 2, 2026, and lists full hookup at $42, partial at $39, non-hookup at $36 and tent at $33 per night, plus an $8 reservation fee. Fees can change; County Parks can confirm.
- Lake Jennings nightly prices are not confirmed: the Helix Water District page (read by hand 2026-10-23) lists the site counts but no prices. Lake Jennings can confirm.
- San Elijo and South Carlsbad nightly fees, hookup types and booking windows are not confirmed. ReserveCalifornia or the park kiosk can confirm.
- Silver Strand hookups: the current State Parks page and a 2013 release quoted in search results disagree. State Parks can confirm.
- Amps are stated only by Lake Jennings. RV length limits are not confirmed at most places. Each park can confirm.
